SXSW 2022: Friday Night Rights: Name, Image, Likeness

The game has been forever changed. June 30, 2021, marked a monumental day in collegiate sports history: The NCAA voted to approve a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policy that gave athletes the right to profit from sponsorship and endorsement deals. Whether an athlete is 10, 15, or 20 years old, they have the capability to benefit from their athletic skill-set making these young prodigies just as valuable — or even more— than any business. Justin Giangrande (Levels Sports Group), Kristi Dosh (Business of College Sport), Casey Schwab (Altius Partners), and Lauren Burke (The University of Texas at Austin) will evaluate the NIL space from all angles: representation, school consulting, and the media aspect. Serving as the Golden Standard of NIL, Justin, Kristi, and Casey’s panel will be one for the record books!
